South Beach Z Ocean hotel

I have just booked this hotel for 1 night both pre and post cruise.

 

Looking for some information on what to see in the area and how to see it.

 

Also, how to get to the Port of Miami - taxi/Uber?

 

Also, opinions on hotel as a location for the port.

 

Also, I can't tell from the pictures if the hotel is high rise, can anyone help?

Z Ocean is not a high rise.

 

I would Uber to the port.

 

Love the location of the hotel.

 

If you want to see the area and get a feel for it, the best way is on foot and the Miami Design Preservation League (the people who saved South Beach) do daily walking tours from the Chamber on Ocean Drive.

The Front Porch Cafe at Z Ocean Hotel is excellent for breakfast and lunch.

Great Hotel, stayed here a few years ago. We used a taxi and it was a flat rate of $24 or $26, can't remember which.
