dkata Posted August 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2016 I will be visiting Butrint on my port stop in Sarande, Albania. The entrance fee is not included in the tour I booked. Anyone have first hand experience on whether they accept Euros for the admission? Or will I have to get Leks? If I need to get local currency, where did you change or get your Leks once you arrived in Sarande?
Rare cruisemom42 Posted August 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2016 I'd suggest that you email the site: info@butrint.al I had a question before my visit there and they answered it within a couple of days.
2calgarycruisers Posted September 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2016 I have spent time in Albania for work and only leks were accepted anywhere however I wasn't anywhere near a cruise port. That was a couple of years ago and you could only exchange for leks while in Albania. Sent from my iPad using Forums

I can't comment on Butrint as we did not visit, but in Sarande euros were widely accepted in shops and cafes.
