We have some friends doing a 2 nighter to Bruges on Ventura in October - does anyone know which is formal night, they asked us and we don't know.

I think I read that it was the first night

On two nighters I have been on it has been the second night. The first night is a bit of a rush for people after getting to terminal and actually getting boarded. The second night putting your luggage out for collection late in the evening is not a big problem for the crew for two reasons; higher proportion of self-disembarkers with smaller suitcase and fair few back to back people. So fewer suitcases for crew to handle.

Regards John.

On all my three 2-nighters last year it was on the first night but because of a number of issues, it all ended up being a bit rushed. From what I understand since January this year, the formal night now seems to have been switched to the second night. That could be a lot better. I am going on one tomorrow so will let you know. :)
