Specialty dining restaurant promotion on 1st day?????

I believe that I read on some message boards that RCCL does promotions for specialty restaurants on the 1st day of the cruise. We are on Oasis beginning on September 24, 2016? Thanks in advance...

There is a C&A promotion for night 1, BOGO at D+ Level and above

 

Apart from that it's not a regular thing, you have to see once you get on the ship what specials they have. Some ships I have been on offered 25% or 30% off almost constantly. Oasis not so much although it's a while since I've sailed on her.

short answer: MAYBE.

 

all D+ and Pinnacle get a BOGO offer for the first 2 nights and most will take advantage. if there are a LOT of these people on board they will not be as likely to offer any other discounts to any one else.

 

sometimes you can walk up and get a deal, but maybe only one particular venue.

 

all you can do is check once you board.

They weren't advertising, but I asked recently on the Explorer. They gave me 20% off our whole party the first night at Chops.
