Premiere Cruise on Dream 9/18

We are sailing on our 1st ever Casino Premiere cruise on Sep 18 on Dream out of NOLA. Can anyone tell us approx what time the casino opens on embarkation day? We are assuming it will be later than past cruises because of the river, but wondered if anybody knew a more specific time?

When we sailed outta NOLA the casino opened about 1 hour after we left..

 

So probably by the time you get done the Premier cocktail party which starts approx 5pm you'll be ready to go to the casino and play

Slots at 5pm, tables at 6pm according to the casino host.

Yeah, what they said. NOLA port is just down the street from Harrahs Casino, as Louisiana allows gambling. Ship casino opens WAY before it reaches the Gulf, which takes about 8 hours.

Does the casino open for all cruises out of NOLA or just the ultra and premier cruises?

 

The casino was even opened in some ports while docked on the premier cruises I've taken because Carnival paid an extra fee to the port. I never saw that on regular cruises.

On all our cruises out of NOLA (3 different ships) the casino has always opened within 1-2 hours of leaving.

There is normally a premier party, when the ship leaves. Get to meet your casino, slot hosts. Have fun ect. With food and drinks at the party. If I remember some type of, win a prize at the end of the party.

When you leave the party the casino is open and running.

Every night between like 8 pm to 11 pm there some type of prize winning games going on for Premier people. Like ever half hour or 29 minutes they call someone to play. You must be playing on a slot or table game. You S&S card has to be in there system. As in slot machine or at a table.

 

It's a fun cruise, you must play a lot of hours. Everyone in your cabin gets a drink card !! Have fun and good luck
