I just got off the phone with Carnival. My rate dropped $100 and I'm booked Early Saver and got the credit :D This is my 3rd cruise and the first time I've benefited from a price drop!

Yup ... I'm on Conquest in 34 days ... that one only has pack and go available, and then my 2/2017 Vista is $20 more, my 4/2017 Sunshine is $360 more, and my 9/2017 is $890 more!!

 

Booking early almost always gets me the best deal ... and I rarely see price drops. :(

 

I'm still very happy with my cabins and the price I booked at. Plus I typically get $375 OBC to start with ($125 from my TA, $100 Booking while on a cruise, $100 Shareholder credit, $50 promotional credit)

Yay! We were lucky a couple of cruises ago when the price dropped around $110ea.

We have only had 2 cruises where we got price drop OBC, our Breeze cruise ($200 obc) and Liberty ($60 obc). I still book ES to get the lowest fare, and I guess since I usually book aft balconies that lowers my chance of price drops. Oh well.

Our next cruise is on the Vista, and prices have gone up since we booked, not down. Since it's a new ship, and demand is high. I don't think there will be any price drops for quite a while. :(

We are purposely waiting til at least 2018 to cruise Vista. Hopefully by the time Horizon comes along, Vista prices will drop. The Vista cruises are expensive!

On our Oct one we are in a junior suite and since there are only 2 on the ship with the other booked there won't be any drops. Our April cruise looks like it went down $40 total ($10pp) but since I'm not ES I'd have to call it in. I hate calling but might in the morning to tired to mess with it tonight. One advantage of ES you can just use the form. I may switch to ES just before final payment is due and I know for sure they arent' going to change DH's shift at work.

Stupid question because I never asked before in my years of cruising. How do I tell if I have a rate increase or decrease?

My Vista 6/11/17 cruise fare is the same,but now includes a $50 obc.Will they include the obc if I call them,or is the early saver price guarantee just if the price itself drops?

Mine is just the same. No drop on the 10/1 Conquest.

No price drops for me. I booked ES right before ES went away and prices have only gone up. 31 days out and there only appears to be 13 cabins left, unless someone is holding a block of cabins to release closer to sailing.

You can do a mock booking or go to https://www.carnival.com/BookingEngine/FareViewer/# and fill it out for your ship and date and see if the fares are lower than what you booked.

Our 2 are higher than when we booked. Glad we don't need to pay the over $100 more pp rate!
