emzz_02 Posted September 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2016 Hey all, I couldn't find a direct answer on princess's page so I'm hoping someone here can answer for me. I'm planning to surprise my parents with a short getaway cruise on the Golden Princess in April next year, just from Melbourne to Sydney. Now my step fathers passport is expired. Given that the ship is not ending in an overseas port of visiting any, does he need to have a current passport or would a drivers licence etc be sufficient. Would like to confirm before I book anything Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Aus Traveller Posted September 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2016 I suggest you phone Princess, but I am sure I have heard in the past that a driver's licence is sufficient identification for a totally domestic cruise.
tazza_0712 Posted September 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) A driver's license is sufficient. I have taken many of these domestic cruises, the last one in October 2015 and you do not need a passport. Just a license will do! Wastegirl Posted September 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2016 Or if you don't have a Licence (my Mum didn't) an official identity card works as well. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

emzz_02 Posted September 14, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted September 14, 2016 Thanks so much everyone. Just gets confusing on their website when it says passports are required all cruises regardless and then asks for a passport number in the cruise personaliser!
