Gift Cards - use on line vs with TA

I have some gift cards that I want to apply to my balance. My cruise is booked with a TA. I can't find anywhere in my Carnival account to apply the cards. Am I missing something or do I have to go through my TA? I know major changes have to go through the TA, but I would think Carnival would take my money straight from me.:D

If you booking using a TA, all payments must be made through them.

The TA screen does have a place for gift cards :) They should do it for you nno problem.

I have paid for several cruises using gift cards and I also have my cruises booked by a TA. I have had no problems doing it. I just send an E-mail to the TA with the Gift Card Number and the scratch off number also on the card. The TA then processes the data and confirms the payment. It is that easy. I also take gift cards on the cruise to apply to the sail & Sign card which ends up giving you a 10 percent discount on all your purchases if you buy the gift cards through AARP or Verizon.
