The JS upgrades we inquired about was just over $200 for both, on both 4 & 5 night cruises. The agent suggested certain dates for these upgrade rates but I can't recall which ones. I am guessing some dates were more to upgrade.

Ours for JS was 200 each but that was without taxes and gratuities. The 400 includes those. If we stayed in the "free" then the total would have been 212 for both.

When's the last time you saw Royal Caribbean at $32 per person, per day?

 

Didn't help that they released itineraries super late going into Q4 of the year when most people's vacation time is already spoken for.

 

 

Our room steward told me that the permissions to go to Cuba didn't come when expected, so now RCI is scheduling other itineraries in the meanwhile, until the approvals are finalized.

Offered a free cabin on the empress from the casino. I was wondering what this ship is like. I've read some reviews both good and bad. Just two of us would be going no kids. What are your thoughts.

 

You know what - I just went on my very first solo cruise (DH was visiting his mom in ABQ). Got a great price and thought it was a great little ship. Entertainment was really good, I loved it. Very small ship but staff was so great. I had a great time and would do it again. Would I pay the same for Empress as Enchantment? Probably not, but for a great price it was a wonderful 4 day getaway!
