clueless2 Posted September 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2016 We're boarding at Port Everglades on Saturday Nov 5, right in the middle of the big boat show. I was just wondering how hard it is to get a taxi or Uber during that time. We're staying in the Dania Beach area because of the high prices that weekend. The hotel has a shuttle which we could take. royalcruz Posted September 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Uber rides are picked up according to where the drivers are when the request comes in; drivers seem to be everywhere in Broward County so it shouldn't be a problem. If you are staying near I-95 the best way to the port is probably to take I95 to I595 east all the way to the end. This should get you around the traffic that might back up on both US1 and SE 17th St.
Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted September 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Bear in mind that during times of high demand/bad weather Uber will add surge pricing. I'm sure that the Fort Lauderdale boat show will be one of them.
fireofficer5 Posted September 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Anywhere in Dania will be far enough from the mess of the boat show, use the south port entrance (Eller DR., 595, what ever the name is).
