Red Hook Marina area

We will be in St Thomas from 10 - 10 so looking at some additional options in addition to our private tour guide. Anyone have thoughts on the RedHook Marina area for dinner? How far from Charlotte Amalie is it? Love marinas but not sure if it might be too much of an undertaking after doing a 6-7 hour tour, returning to the ship to clean up and then going back out for dinner.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

There aren't many boats at the marinas during hurricane season, but I guess there are more in Red Hook than the marinas near town.

Near town there are Yacht Haven Grande and Frenchtown Marina. Frenchtown has more restaurants than Yacht Haven Grande but has smaller boats.

I would go to one of the marinas near town.

It looks like you are traveling in December. Red Hook is a great spot for dinner, but it is quite a drive. I would agree with Yacht Haven Grande- several places to eat right on the water with a view of fabulous yachts. Casual- Fat Turtle. A bit more upscale- Fresh Bistro. Finer dining-Grand Cru.
