I just spoke with a credit card rep who said I could redeem my points for spa credit, shore excursions, or casino chips. Shore excursions are already paid and I don't want casino chips or spa credits. I used the majority of my points toward paying for the cruise but I have 8,000 left. If I say I want to use them for shore excursions will they just show up on my account as obc or are they only for excursions?

I believe the points show up as on board credit no matter what you pick.

Maybe you could get the casino chips and then cash them in?

Except if you choose a beverage card for 5,000 pts you get an actual card.

I've done the casino redemption 2 times. You should receive a voucher in your room to redeem at the casino cashier.

When I presented the voucher, I was given cash right away, which I just applied to my account at the front office.

One other suggestion, you can also redeem 2500 points per person for a PG dinner.

Thanks for all the info. I used the points for casino chips which I plan on turning into cash. If they show up on my account as obc that is even better.
