TheDougOut Posted September 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) Edit: Damn it... sorry for the double post. This topic is already here... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2404812 I saw this posted on FB, and it seems like a logical progression if the Upsell department is getting flooded with calls day after day. I dare say this approach makes some sense... give the upgrades to those willing to pay the most for them. Cruiser Bruiser Posted September 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) On the Carnival owned brand I have sailed, they both offer assigned cabins, but with the option of an upgrade. Maybe NCL is moving in that direction with this new experiment. But the wording makes me think that they are using an algorithm to target the passengers NCL thinks are most likely to buy the upgrade.
