Time before flight

We are cruising the Liberty in March. We disembark Sunday morning in Ft Lauderdale but our plane doesnt leave until 7:00 PM. We dont know what to do with our time or our luggage. :eek: Any ideas? Thanks

Check for post cruise excursions. They'll deal with the luggage for you.

We had the same late flight problem and solved it by purchasing an Everglades excursion. We left the ship, got on to a bus (with luggage), had a wonderful tour (airboat ride, lunch, animal farm and presentation by an animal trainer). Back on the bus to FLL airport with more than 2 hours to spare with our flght leaving at 5:00 ish. Luggage was with us all the way and safely stowed till we off loaded at the airport. Perfect way to end a cruise vacation.

We'll likely be off the ship at 10:00 in Fort Lauderdale and our flight leaves at 2:30. We already have our boarding passes so it's just a matter of checking our luggage. Rather than spend 41/2 hours sitting around the airport, could anyone suggest a two hour tour?

We booked a room at the Marriott Marina Hotel across the street from the ship. Very nice hotel, and it was $75 for the room. We had a place to put our things, hung out at the pool all day, and that evening took showers and headed to the airport. It was like having an extra day's vacation.

I would guess season. If you are looking at March dates, that could include the beginning of the Spring Break season where rates are higher.

On one of our cruises out of FLL.. we took our time getting off the ship- last ones off about 10:30.. got to the airport about 11am- by the time we checked in and got through the lines of security it was after 1pm.

There were 6 ships in port that day. The cruise lines wont allow you to take their excursions since your flight is too soon for that-- they want people with flights after 3pm.

You wont be able to check your luggage at the airport before 11am for that flight.
