Premier Casino Question

Need some information, after many cruises we have received a premier cruise offer, the problem is that we had already booked the cruise before the offer came out. We contacted carnival players club and were told that all the perks would be given once we were on the ship. Never said who to speak to or how to go about it. I assume we talk to the casino host but just wondered if anyone else has had the particular issue. Thanks in advance

I can interpret. Unless you actually booked the Premier Offer, you will not receive the Premier Perks but you will be eligible for any comps awarded by the Casino Hosts at their discretion. They monitor your play via the points you accumulate. Once you reach a certain point level, the Casino Hosts will automatically extend comps likee the Drinks on Us card, send treats to your stateroom, wine to your dining table. When your card is in the machine, they can find you in the casino. You don't need to do anything but introducing yourself helps. On a Premier Casino cruise, the Executive Casino Hosts are also on board and they have more discretion. Understand though, especially on Premier, playing $20 is not going to get their attention., more hitting 3000 plus points to start or hitting a handpay jackpot.

Elaine is correct. You will not get the Premier Perks unless you book the Premier offer. Why can you not change your booking to the Premier offer? If you booked through Carnival your PVP should be able to do this for you.

If you are booked with a group or a TA or even through a different offer such as a land based casino I am not sure how much luck you would have changing the booking.

I did have a cruise booked (Early Saver through my PVP) and it was announced as a Premier. She changed my booking over to the Premier with the lower cost, cash offer and all the benefits. This was one time ES wasn't always ES. Had I wish to price match (not that the price got any lower than the Premier) my PVP made it very clear that I would have lost the Premier benefits.

I also had a cruise booked that was later changed to a Premier. I called the number on the flyer that I got in the mail, told them I wanted to change my booking to the premier off and even said I didn't care about getting the cheaper price. After about five minutes on hold the agent came back and told me that the difference would be refunded as an OBC since it was after final payment and I would get all the premier perks. I was very happy that it was done so easily and got money back. At that time I didn't realize that my PVP who is awesome could make those changes for me. Now I just go through my PVP regardless of whether the booking is premier or not.
