Joint juice

We are booked on the Oasis of the Seas Holiday cruise in December. Both of my parents drink joint juice, a combination of chondroitin and glucosamine, for their arthritis. The mixture is packaged in 8 oz. plastic bottles and they would need to bring 14 bottles between the 2 of them. What are the chances of getting these past security? It is not a prescribed item, very similar to the over-the-counter pills. Thanks!

You may bring anything that is not "illegal" or banned....such as weapons, etc. I am sure it will not be a problem. If you feel better, you can always write to the "special needs" dept. special_needs@rccl.com

If your parents feel they can't miss a weeks worth of their supplements, they are available in tablet form which would be easier to take onboard.

It's allowed to bring "supplements", but the pill form might be easier to pack and carry!

As long as they are sealed and labeled you should not have any problems. If they are not sealed, you might have to prove they aren't alcohol.

 

RCI doesn't care what medications you bring onboard.

Thanks for the replies. They are elderly and pretty set in their ways. Even though I'm sure the pill form would work just fine they swear by their juice!

I am diabetic and don't drink any soda typically. I emailed customer service and asked about bringing diet (sugar free) juices and diet tonic. Royal offers neither of these items. I was told it was fine to bring those items, so I put them in a backpack and put a luggage tag and kept a copy of the email just in case. No problems at all! And then In The evening I would load up my glass with the diet cranberry juice or diet tonic and then my fav bartender would load me up with ice and rum or gin [emoji5][emoji484] it worked out very well!

I wouldn't think you would have any problem!
