Magic chairs

Is there any advantage to booking the magic chairs through the cruise line? The ticket price was cheaper if i purchased the ticket at port but wasnt sure if they have huge lines .

No lines. And it's not really worth it to book at port, IMO. You walk a third of the way to the beach just to get to the chairs and you can walk almost to the beach before a chair would get you there. Some scenic vistas but beter viewing of same from top decks on any ship.

If you book at the ship you can put it on your S&S card. If you book at the site, I think you have to pay cash.

We've done the chairs several times (Princess). The cost was a bit less by pre-booking through the ship.

Never experienced long lines. :)

We haven't decided what we are going to do in Roatan. I've been reading that some suggest going to the authentic part of Roatan instead of staying at Mahogany Bay. My friend wants to ride the chair lift. It's possible to do that and then go on a tour instead of hanging out at MB?

Absolutely! You could ride it over and immediately get back on to ride it back and then do whatever you wish elsewhere in Roatan.

The "chairs" bracelet is good for as many times as you wish All Day. :)
