New cruiser on Carnival so don't know the normal operations.

What time in normal for getting on the ship?

Another line we normal are on board by 11.

thanks

Long Beach has switched to staggered boarding. If you go in to start your cruise docs you will pick a time to board. Time slots can fill up so if you know you want to get on early I would log in now and pick what you can.

Before staggered check-in I've gotten on as early as 11:15 in LB.

Agree that with new procedures (they just started 2 weeks ago) we are not sure how that will affect boarding yet.

Waiting to hear from folks who have experienced this.

Previously we've been on board anywhere from 11:30-1PM . Many of us are used to coming early and just hanging out outside the "dome" with music playing and a festive atmosphere. Now that we have to pick check in times this may be much different.

Currently in Maui onboard the Miracle.

Priority check in started at 9:30. Those without started at noon, the earliest staggered check in time.

We arrived at 1pm and got onboard within 30 minutes.

My guess it depends on the ship. No Carnival expert here but when we did the Miracle last month we were shocked people were still getting off at noon then we noticed how late it arrives so it made since. We had FTTF so boarded right after a wedding party & those high up with Carnival. Boarded about 12:45. You should have a boarding time on your boarding pass. They do indeed have the staggered boarding and you can only board during or after your assigned time.
