stickey_mouse Posted October 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Some say the show is cheesy, others recommend it. How long does the show last? and can you order from the bar?
packfanmn Posted October 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2016 I thought it was cheesy. But my kids liked it. We ordered from the waitress, just like any restaurant, and she brought our drinks.

funCruise3 Posted October 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Is the menu available or is it the same as the MDR's?
stickey_mouse Posted October 26, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted October 26, 2016 It's a set menu. Search the boards and you'll find it. Steak and shrimp, if I remember correctly. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
donnyo1997 Posted October 26, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 26, 2016 What is the difference in seating? They list floor and banquet seating options. Sent from my iPad using Forums
stickey_mouse Posted October 26, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Floor is premium, near the stage, and costs a bit more. Banquet style line's the wall at the back of the showroom. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
tombec1 Posted October 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Our family loved it last year, and that included a 15 and 16 year old, both of whom weren't initially thrilled about going since they wanted to hang with new friends. Once it started, though, they were all smiles. :) We had floor seating and were at the closest table, right in front of the stage. (yay Haven!) The regular meal was steak and shrimp. My daughter is a vegetarian, and the veggie dish was eggplant parmigiana. You can order any drink you want, but if you don't have UBP, you pay extra for it. Cruisin'Christine Posted October 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 26, 2016 I just saw the Illusionarium show last week and sat at a floor seat. I did not love the set menu. The appetizer is proscuitto, tomato, and mozzarella. The main course was surf and turf. I am allergic to seafood, so my plate was brought without the shrimp. The dessert was three or four small sampler desserts. It was average and I would have preferred a little choice in the appetizer and in the dessert. You could order from the bar through your server, including at no charge if you have the UBP or the soda card. I enjoyed the show and some of the illusions were really baffling. I still wonder how they pulled some of those things off. I also saw the circus-type show on the Epic before, which I enjoyed more, but this one was good. Rare Huntingdon1701 Posted October 26, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Is there audience participation? If so, any tips on how to avoid it (Beyond glaring at the performers)?
tombec1 Posted October 26, 2016 #12 Share Posted October 26, 2016 They asked people before the show if they'd like to participate. They won't just single you out. They made sure to say that "you will not be ridiculed". One of the ladies at my table agreed, and they brought her up on stage for the mentalist portion. Rare Huntingdon1701 Posted October 26, 2016 #13 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Thanks. That's reassuring.
stickey_mouse Posted October 26, 2016 Author #14 Share Posted October 26, 2016 I know seating is first come, first served. For those of us not in the Haven, how early should we start to line up? And can you save a seat for someone not in line with you? We have a group of 18, so it might be difficult to get everyone to show up early. stickey_mouse Posted October 27, 2016 Author #15 Share Posted October 27, 2016 And approximately how long is the show?
packman1029 Posted October 27, 2016 #16 Share Posted October 27, 2016 And approximately how long is the show? About an hour and a half, that is what it was when we went last year.
