LIVE from Liberty of the Seas, sailing October 30th!

In closing I would like to thank everyone who followed along and was also able to tune in to my Periscope broadcasts when I was able to do so.

I would also like to politely remind some that this is my vacation and I am willing to give up some of it to do these type of reviews and broadcasts. A few still don't seem to understand that and demand that I show them stuff or get them the info they want. Remember, asking nicely goes a long way. Demanding or getting impatient gets you nowhere.

Also even though I stated at the beginning that I was well aware of the voom issues a couple of people still felt the need to remind me how bad it was and it was the only post they made on the entire review which made me feel like they had no desire to follow along. Please if this is the only thing you have to say on one of my reviews, just keep it to yourself. Thank you.

With those minor gripes aside, LIVE from Liberty of the Seas has concluded. The next adventure will be on Harmony of the Seas, April 22nd.

Until next time...... ;) :D

Wish I could have followed live but I did catch a few of your scopes. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your cruise with us. It certainly helps pass the time until our turn in February.

I too was trying to do a live review this past week but the voom connection was so bad in my stateroom when I was trying to do my posts. I often gave up trying to login. It seemed the public spaces had the best connection and best speeds. My hubby tested speeds in our room and it was 1mbps. Really bad. I forgot to ask him to test speeds in the public areas like the dining room and theater.

Just caught your review. Very good as always.

We have never sailed out of Galveston, so it was very informative. And the photos were great.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Feel like l have been on a cruise!

Bugs, I have read every review you have ever posted and was hooked from the very first read. Once I found all of these reviews on cruise critic, I would not dream of planning a cruise without reading them. I am truly amazed at some of the questions/requests of you. I suggest you ignore them. I would never have known of the send your luggage from the ship to the airport option, which I used in FL this year and was most grateful for, had I not read of it on CC. Since I travel solo now and am 72, I've even started trying to plan cruises that offer that option. Never think your reviews are not valuable, helpful, interesting, entertaining and much appreciated by your readers.

The Historic Pleasure Pier looks cool all lit up this morning

I like to phrase that "Historic" Pleasure Pier.

That pier spent more of its history as a hotel (and a dumpy one at that towards the end) over the water than it has as an amusement park.

Had Ike not taken the hotel out, Fertitta might still be trying to get the hotel operator out of the lease!

Demolishing the 225-room hotel was part of Landry’s original plans when the company bought the mermaid-sculpture-festooned property from the city for half a million in 2003. The next several years were spent trying to kick out the hotel operator, whose lease wasn’t set to expire until 2031. Landry’s reversed course after Hurricane Ike caused $7 million in damages to the hotel, eventually going to court to try to stop the operator, Daniel Yeh, from wriggling out of his lease. But 2 earlier storms ended up tossing Yeh into prison: he was eventually convicted of filing false claims to FEMA after Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. And a renegotiated lease gave Landry’s control of the entire property last year.

I am reading this several months after you initially posted your review. Thank you! I have sailed several NCL cruises, and am now doing this RCL cruise Feb 5, and I'm a little nervous I won't enjoy myself quite as much. You get used to how certain cruise lines operate and have to relearn things when you switch to a different line. I feel a little more comfortable after reading your review, and now I'm going to read all of your pdf's that you posted. That will really give me an idea on what to expect. So I appreciate all the time you put into your review.

I am just reading your review and thoroughly enjoyed it! This is my first time out of Galveston & first time on Liberty (Jan. 22nd). She looks a lot like Freedom except for the water slides on the pool deck. I cruised Freedom in November & it was my first cruise as diamond. I loved that you could get 3 free drinks (limited menu) from any bar between 5:00-8:00 without going to the diamond lounge. I got my 3 Miller Lites and put them in the refrigerator in my cabin. Think I will check out the diamond lounge this time for breakfast. Hopefully, I will also have good luck in the casino. It's my favorite excursion.

Thank you Chris for your great posts on Liberty! I do feel like I just got done cruising after looking at all of your pictures. I can't begin to imagine how much time all of these pictures, posts, and commentary took from your vacation. Thanks again, so much!!

I can't wait to leave on LOS in nine days!
