Pugwash7 Posted October 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2016 I'm a bit confused at the costing on NCL cruise ,orig booked internal cabin decided to upgrade to balcony. Rang wed evening got quoted £270 each for upgrade rang tonight fri to confirm and the cost has gone to £340 . Can you explain to me why has it happened before it's daylight robbery should never have bothered with these pirates of the sea.
DisneyDatknee Posted October 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) Prices changed all the time, but usually most price changes occur after the clock strikes 12 AM. They aren't doing anything wrong, it's just supply and demand. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Edited October 28, 2016 by DisneyDatknee

Pugwash7 Posted October 28, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Not just the price hawk but the whole indifference from customer service if you can call it that. I thought the American CS would have been better than anything I have encountered before .Should have booked with Royal Caribbean . By they way if I get a quote I expect that to stand as a matter of courtesy , not to extract more money out of you .
Ray66 Posted October 29, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 29, 2016 And what if the price had gone down? Which price would you accept then? Disney Datknee is correct. It's all supply and demand. If the cruise is selling well, the price can go up overnight. If not selling well, the price can go down. I thought the American CS would have been better than anything I have encountered before .Should have booked with Royal Caribbean . Royal Caribbean are also American. And no doubt they also use fluid pricing.

It's not any different on Royal Caribbean. I waited two days to book my Empress cruise and it went up $200. Pugwash7 Posted October 29, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted October 29, 2016 Well if he had informed me of that it would have been a different matter, there are other issues not a very pleasant experience overall .
iheartbda Posted October 30, 2016 #9 Share Posted October 30, 2016 Well if he had informed me of that it would have been a different matter, there are other issues not a very pleasant experience overall . Since you don't seem to understand how cruise pricing works, you feel the whole thing is a sham and there are other issues, maybe it's just best that you cancel. You are only going to be more unhappy and find other things you are not satisfied with.

You are only going to be more unhappy and find other things you are not satisfied with. Now it's been pointed out how the pricing works I can live with it . I will try to upgrade next year as advised . It's the first time so I'll go with the flow .
