We're doing the same 11 nights. Did you do anything special on board that I might appreciate knowing about?

Make sure you attend the lectures on the building of the canal...very well done and fascinating

I'm on the 1/4/17 sailing. I've decided to stay on the ship. I had a day stop in Colon on a Carnival sailing and we did an independent excursion that went to the Embera village. I tell people that it was one of the best excursions I've ever done. I felt like I was in a National Geo special. After that part of the tour, we stopped at the locks, which is what convinced me that I needed to take a cruise that did at least a partial transit.

So since I haven't been all the way through the Canal, I'm staying on the ship to get all the locks experience I can on this sailing. I may book the Splendor repositioning that goes through, but I'm not sure yet. Just off my 26th Carnival sailing last Saturday and I'm bored with them, so I'm really looking forward to this Zuiderdam cruise!
