Dreamer333 Posted November 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2005 Hello! I've never taken the Princess shuttle before, but on my upcoming cruise, I am taking it. When I arrive in L.A. and I go to collect my luggage, how do I find the Princess bus? Also, when I get off the ship on the final day and go collect my luggage, how do I find the shuttle? Is it a big bus, or is it a smaller shuttle, similar to hotel shuttles? Thanks!!!
cherylandtk Posted November 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2005 Arrival: at baggage claim there will be a rep with a clipboard or notebook with the Princess logo on it. Check in with them; they will direct you to the bus. Most are full-sized tour busses, but sometimes they use the smaller hotel-type shuttles to gather a full load. After the cruise, the busses are usually lined up outside customs and immigration and you can't miss them.
bdjam Posted November 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2005 Normally there will be a Princess representative just outside luggage claim who will escort you to the bus once everyone is gathered. Due to security, you must claim your luggage yourself. The reps are easier to find if you’re on a Princess flight, but even if not, if Princess has your flight information – and of course they know you have a transfer – you’ll find them. The buses are regular tour busses. There will be many of them going from the airport to the pier – contrary to popular sentiment here, many people use Princess transfers. Upon return, once you gather your luggage, you’re directed to the busses that go to the airport – they usually will board the buses by airline. Hints – ensure your luggage is loaded on the bus that you’re on so you can keep track of it. Ensure it gets from the bus to the porters at the pier. And its always nice to tip the driver as he/she is usually the one who loads and unloads the luggage.
