Nice beach

My head is spinning, I need a nice beach, clear water, restaurant/bar. Me, DH DD16,DS15.

 

We've been to Megan's on a day when I think every ship in the Caribbean was in St Thomas and all the passengers went to Megan's.

Do those hotels charge you to use the beach?

Magens and Smith Bay park have an entry fee, other beaches are open to the public and you only pay to rent loungers, etc.

To clarify, Secret Harbor and Sapphire are home to condo properties, and Emerald Beach Resort is a hotel. So you can't access the private areas but the beach along the ocean is open to everyone, and they have restaurants and beach bars open to the public.

Do they allow access to restroom facilities?

Emerald Beach has chairs for rent, and bathroom/changing facilities, plus restaurants and bars. Taxis were $8 per person round trip from the Havensight dock, and we paid $25 for two chairs and an umbrella, but I have recently read reports about the chairs being $7 to rent. It is a nice beach area, facing directly west. Not completely serene and quiet, as there are two hotels on the beach, but it is a great and reliable place to spend the day. We had a good time and would go back.

Yes there are bathrooms at Sapphire. Wear sandals as they sometimes are a bit nasty
