Cave tubing - afraid of bats

I really want to go cave tubing while in Belize. Am I crazy for worrying about bats in the caves? Hubby thinks I'm crazy and I realize I probably am. Can anyone who has done cave tubing assure me this is a non issue? Thanks!

Hi. I went this past Tuesday and did not see any bats. I'm not saying there aren't any in the caves just that I did not see any. I think you'll be fine

My family did this two years ago and LOVED it. My boys were 8-10yrs old. We did see bats because the guides showed them to us but they are asleep hanging happily upside down in the cave. Hundreds of person go through the cave daily so they are used it it and really don't care. You will have a blast with nothing to worry about.

Be prepared the water is COLD but so worth the experience. Enjoy!

We did not see bats. If you do, typically should be they should be asleep during tour times

Bats are actually a good thing to see.... they eat mosquitos!

You usually only see the bats if the tour guide shows a light up there. Otherwise, they are usually sleeping. No worries. :)
