MS Midnatsol - 3 December 2017 - to Antarctica

Just booked this cruise. Looking forward to finally setting foot on the Antarctic Continent. Hope to connect with others before sailing -- to compare notes. We are also active on the November 2016 sailing of the Midnatsol.

 

We sailed into Antarctica on the Star Princess in January 2009 but could not set foot on the continent. The scenery was awesome -- no surprise there.

Three years ago made reservations for Antarctica on Celebrity Infinity. Same deal - drive by. After traveling north of the Arctic Circle to Nordkapp on Azamara we decided to switch to an expedition ship with landings on the continent. Fram offers the opportunity to both set foot on Antarctica and cross the Antarctic Circle.

We just switched to the Fram's February 8th, 2018 departure from Ushuaia -- will give us 9 days in and around the Antarctic Peninsula on the smaller, newer Fram -- should have plenty of opportunities for landings!! Gene
