elklemi Posted November 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2016 Will be in port 8-5 from Carnival site and meet our excursion at 9 AM belize time, am I correct in figuring I have two hours to get tender into port due to time difference? We leave from Port canaveral in one week. Thanks
SnorkelAway Posted November 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2016 The basic answer to your question is yes. If the ship stays on Eastern Standard Time and arrives at 8 am ship time - it will be 7 am Belize City local time. So, 9 am local time is 10 am ship time - again IF ship time does not change. Rare crewsweeper Posted November 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2016 First, this is the Roatan Board, not the Belize Board. Two entirely different countries. No tendering in Roatan. Second, if the excursion is a ship sponsored excursion, it will be conducted on ship time which is based on the time zone where the ship originally departed the US. If it is through a private company, reach and double check which time they are using. Most likely Belize time. Belize is on Central Standard Time, no daylight savings. So currently the country is one hour behind US East Coast and same time as US gulf coast ports--Mobile, NOLA, Galveston.
