Why I'm Liking Carnival Right Now

Here's the bottom line for those that don't want to click through:

 

It's a short day's drive to several of Carnival's home ports. We're going on the Fantasy out of Mobile next week. It's a 4 1/2 hour drive for us!

 

We are taking two grand kids with us, and the youngest is 2, and Carnival allows kids as young as 2 into Camp Carnival! Hopefully he will warm up to and enjoy attending with his older brother, who is 5.

In terms of year-round ports, Mobile is the closest in terms of driving distance for a large portion of the country - even for someone in Chicago, Mobile is a few miles closer than New Orleans.

Just a few hours drive closer to home makes a big difference. Our Dec. 3 cruise is sold out. Hoping that demand is sufficient to bring other ships to this port.

We've driven to cruise out of Mobile twice and have another Mobile cruise booked for May.
