Anthem/Quantum balcony ?s

Has anyone seen the balcony on cabins 9250, 9650, 10650 or 10250? They appear a bit larger on the deck plans than other cabins in the D7 category. Are they? Can't seem to find pictures of any of these balconies.

Also, are there two chairs or two loungers on the balconies?

The balcony should be a bit larger than a normal balcony because of the angle.

7 days leaving out of New Jersey on March 26, 2017.

So that would be around $100 per person per day, before taxes. That's not bad for a balcony. However, if this is Anthem, there are some obstructed balconies if that is important to you.

Unlike some of the other deck plans, Anthem's plans on Royal's website are actually quite accurate. If the balcony looks larger, it is.

The Quantum deck plan is not accurate for the balconies for cabin 162, 164, 562 and 564 on decks 7 to 13 as shown in the shot below of that section on the port side. All of these balconies are larger than shown on the deck plan as the angled outer rail extends across both balconies and not just the first one after the front jump section on both side.

Here are the shots for my above post

Port side section with angled balconies for cabins 162 and 164. Starboard side section for cabins 562 and 564 is the same.

Only that section on deck 6, which is the lowest balcony beside the lifeboat in the shot above, is as shown on the RCI deck plan.

Balconies for cabins 250 and 650 on decks 6 to 13 are similar to the smaller angled balconies on the right.

I've modified this section's deck plan for 11 to show how it actually is while the deck plan for 12 shows how it is wrongly shown.

Below are two shots of the balcony for cabin 10562 on Anthem which is the larger of the two angled balconies in that section. This is a Cat.D1.

Below is the view from the balcony of 10562 and the angled balcony rail for cabin 10564 can be seen on the lower right. It doesn't show as such on the RCI deck plan.

Any info on this cabin 12268? How is Balcony? Obstructed view?

That cabin has a standard size regular balcony that is not obstructed and is above the roof of the outdoor Deck 5 eating area for Jamie's Italian restaurant. That is the glass roof in the shot below.

Well, I guess I'll answer my own question here LOL Another poster on another thread was kind enough to send me pictures of Anthem cabin 9250, a D7, that has a tad bigger balcony, a bit angled on one side. So here they are:

How about 11172? Looks similar to the other angled balconies, maybe a tad smaller? I am on the 6/26 Canada/NE sailing:)

Thanks

The balconies for cabin ending with 172 and 572 on decks 6 to 13 of Anthem are the smallest of the angled balconies and are only slightly larger than a regular rectangular one.

The column of balconies for cabins ending with 172 on the port side is indicated by the arrow in the shot below taken from North Star. The balcony for 11172 is the one right under the arrow's point. The frame of the yolk that holds up the NS capsule is the grayish section on the left side which blocked being able to take a good shot of this section of the ship when we were over the side of the ship.

My wife and I were in 13250 on the 1/15/16 10-day (which turned into an 11-day thanks to Winter Storm Jonas), and I can verify that the balcony is indeed larger than the standard balcony. You can see from the photos below that the angle shown on the deck plan is accurate; additionally, the balcony seems slightly larger than it is because the asymmetrical design gives a more open feel to the balcony than on a standard balcony. You're not going to be dancing the waltz out there, but it's plenty of room for 2 people to sit comfortably.

Thanks so much! These pictures really show the balcony size and angle perfectly. For 2 of us it will be perfect.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just booked 12572 on the Anthem yesterday. It looked like there is a little bit more angle space on that balcony. Anyone know for sure? And how do I find out if the bed is by the balcony or the closet?

Can anyone please help me?

There is a little more angle on the balcony. Bed is by the window. The bed positions alternate every other cabin. The cabins that hold more people have the bed by the door, so you can figure it out based on that
