LibrarianBecky Posted December 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2016 My guarantee balcony was assigned--category D2, room. 11196 on Anthem. This seems like a great assignment to me. It is a deck that has cabins above and below, and I don't believe it is an obstructed balcony (which is kind of what I thought I would be stuck with booking a guarantee). Anyone have any feedback for me on this cabin location? One thing I don't understand is that my cruise planner on RC's website says it is a "smaller balcony". It looks the same size as all the others on deck plans. Anyone know why they would put that in the description? Thank you! FrannyK Posted December 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2016 You did great getting a D2. I booked a balcony guarantee and was upgraded to a D7 which I was thrilled with because I thought I'd end up with an obstructed balcony. You did much better than I. Your D2 is not a smaller balcony, I don't know why some of them say that. Many people have reported their reservations saying the same thing but all had a standard size balcony. Ken at the beach Posted December 2, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2016 It states smaller balcony because the D1's have a larger balcony. In reality it is a standard size balcony.
LibrarianBecky Posted December 2, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted December 2, 2016 Awesome! The cruise gods were smiling on me yesterday! Thanks for the explanation regarding "smaller' balcony. We have never sailed in a balcony, so any size balcony is big to us! Sent from my iPad using Forums

LibrarianBecky Posted December 2, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted December 2, 2016 March 26, 2017. First time back on RC since my honeymoon in 2003!! I truly cannot wait. We have sailed a few times on Carnival and Celebrity in the intervening years, but nothing has matched the feeling of our first cruise on Rhapsody in 2003. First cruises are always special, I'm sure, but I'm hoping to capture a bit of that Magic by going back to RC.
