hathaway42 Posted December 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2016 You should be ok if you line up to disembark as soon a passengers carrying off is called. The disembarkment sheet they give you is very accurate . The airport is about 10- 15 minutes from the port. Sent from my iPad using Forums
-Lew- Posted December 3, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2016 How early? The terminal will be in disembarkation mode until about 10:00am. Before that time it may be difficult to find anyone to accept your luggage. There is a left luggage office at FLL where you can check your luggage until you're ready to head to the port. Of course you can always bring your luggage with you to breakfast...a bit of a hassle, but less than returning to the airport.

Between 9:00 and 9:30 you can start dropping off luggage. It's a nuisance, as there is a lot of congestion from people disembarking, and the traffic flow make you wade through it to get to the bag drop. msw.delafield Posted December 3, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2016 On several past Port Everglades departures, we have dropped luggage off to porters on embarkation day as early as 9am. Is possible they are on station earlier, but no knowledge of exact start time. Just FWIW from our experience.

If you are at berth 19 or 21 on a busy day, dropping off your bags could be an hour long adventure. I would only do it if your ship is at berth 2. You can check which berth your ship is assigned to (about 1 week in advance): https://pevvesseltraffic.broward.org/webx/ If it were me, I'd drag my bags to someplace like Panera Bread on SE 17th Street, and then enter the port only once when you want to get in the boarding line. You won't be the only one there with bags. Edited December 3, 2016 by pablo222

Grab a taxi to someplace nearby, have breakfast, call another taxi and go to the ship. Is there someplace inside the airport where you can have breakfast after you pick up your bags? rockdoctor Posted December 3, 2016 #9 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Enough people drop their bags off early and unattended that, statistically, you should be OK.

The Holiday Inn Express we stayed before on that street was just a walking distance away.
