Just Embarked the Equinox. IMPRESSED!

I bought my husband a bottle for his birthday.

 

It's a blended (vs. a single malt) scotch.

 

It has a smoky flavor.

 

I didn't like it at all - wouldn't drink it again if it were free. :o

 

 

Scotch like or dislike is a personal palate. JW platinum is an 18 year old blended scotch. A 750ml bottle in St. Maarten is 2/$100 US$. Several of us drank it at the Equinox World Class Bar included under our premium liquor package. I would have to pay $18 for a measured pour.

 

I enjoy it's flavor but won't pay that price on Eclipse.

 

Fortunately I found my favorite bartender from the constellation on board here. He turned me onto Monkey Shoulder scotch. It's a blend of three single malt scotches.

 

Tomorrow is St Kitts then on to St. Maarten. I'll get my own JW! LOL

He is refering to the Johnnie Walker Platinum, that bottle is $150 in Canada

That's pricey.
