Ft Lauderdale Shuttle service for scooter.

Anyone know a shuttle service for ship to airport that will accomodate a scooter? Previously we drove our own car and didn't have a need for a shuttle but this time we are flying in. My scooter can be disassembled but it is a larger one and I'd rather not do that. Any suggestions?

Most Taxi Companies in Ft. Lauderdale have ramped wheelchair accessible vehicles. For example Yellow Taxi has 20 in its fleet. You need to pre-arrange the for the taxi. Another option is to contact the cruise line as it may provide a shuttle bus with a lift for transport to the airport.

You can purchase the ship's transfer and advise them that you will require wheelchair accessible transportation. Or, as Pat said, take a taxi. At Fort Lauderdale, just ask the person directing taxis for an accessible one. Those taxis also have room for a couple seated passengers.

Have a wonderful cruise,

Betty
