mosherrskl Posted December 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2016 We've booked a car with Hertz but other than walking the 2km to their location, don't know how to get there. Any ideas? Obviously a cab would be an option. Bus? Their location is CAP Southwell Industrial Park.

paul58 Posted December 18, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) It wouldn't be that bad of a walk. As you leave the pier area, walk straight ahead to the street which is called the Bay Road. Turn right and walk along the Bay Road keeping the sea to your right until you reach Hertz. The measuring tool on Google Earth makes it about 1.5 KM Edited December 18, 2016 by paul58 additional information
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2016 1.5 KM is almost 1 mile (9/10s), just so you know. 15 minute walk perhaps.

The walk was about 20 minutes and was easy to find on the coastal road, No issues with the car and when we returned it, they gave us a ride back to the ship. Total cost was $79 including the driving permit, but plus gas. Driving on the left was interesting (at least the car was RHD). Roads were good but signage was poor.
