Port Canaveral car rental, 3PM flight

Just wondering...

Since our flight doesn't leave MCO until 3PM and we won't be in a hurry to get off the ship and rush to the airport, will the lines at the car rental place die down if we wait to get off the ship as late as possible or are we better to get off ASAP and get there early?

Our experience has been that the lines die down after 11am. However, unless you really need the convenience of the rental car, I'd consider a shuttle from Cortrans for $20pp.

More than likely you will be pushed off the ship NLT about 9:00 so that they can prepare for the next set of passengers. You have plenty of time to rent a car and go someplace fun for lunch before checking in at MCO.

 

A shared shuttle is an option that might save you a couple of bucks, but will have you sitting at MCO for 4+ hours :(
