FoghornLeghorn Posted January 9, 2017 #30 Share Posted January 9, 2017 Reba,Weather is So. Ca. changes quickly. Today it is pouring rain, tomorrow may be warm. For our Christmas cruise on the Ruby, it rained when we boarded and was cool.Normally when this occurs we have cool weather the next day( a sea day) .That wasn't the case and our kids went to the pool in the afternoon. Weather in all the ports was pleasant and not too hot. however in Cabo it was very windy. This was unusual for Cabo.We cruise to Mexico very often and always have had really nice weather. Never had rain. Hi Sue!! :) Thanks you

Craving A Cruise Posted January 10, 2017 #35 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Just checked, Free pub lunch has gone, now salty dog $12. Wheelhouse was empty. Antsp, thanks for the verification! as I mentioned on the other thread, we did not have free pub lunch on the Crown last November. So, I'm Not holding my breath that it will be offered on the Star Princess next week either..... ...oh well, at least they still had Afternoon Tea in one of the MDR. but even that was quiet and not promoted by the staff. I think only regular cruisers even knew about it.....also according to the Patter, the Wheelhouse Bar didn't even open up until 3pm so I don't think the Salty Dog was offering Lunch there either. The place was eerily dead quiet! ~Karen
Craving A Cruise Posted January 10, 2017 #36 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Don't forget the "Los Brillantes" Mariachi trio who play in the Atrium most nights. Formal night tonight, Comedian Carlos Oscar in Explorers Colours of the Wind in the theatre We really enjoyed Carlos! Hilarious, clean, fun comedian. :D Both of his shows were standing room only on the Crown Princess. Also enjoyed "Los Brillantes", liked their music so much I purchased their CD. (And I don't even speak Spanish! LOL.) Just listening to it takes me back to my cruise days :) ~Karen~ is Craving A Cruise

san diego sue Posted January 10, 2017 #41 Share Posted January 10, 2017 On the Ruby (Christmas cruise, we were able to go into the Wheelhouse lounge to enjoy the music. We sat on the couches not at the pub seating. Didn't have to do the Salty Dog . Food did look good as the waiters walked by with the plates. pablo222 Posted January 11, 2017 #50 Share Posted January 11, 2017 It's that or we discuss butter all day, or maybe trolling is what you did by bringing tipping into a thread about the Ruby My question was sincere. Is was exactly about Ruby. You had strongly lamented paying tips after currency changes following BREXIT, so I aasked you about it. You said your goal was to create controversy. You can hardly complain when you do. Personally, if I were on a cruise, I wouldn't be wasting my time bickering on some forum.
