baronessk Posted January 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2017 We are looking at an Aug. 13th Hubbard Bay cruise and I've found a cabin I like, and now my cruising companion has mentioned that July might work better. That cabin is not available on the July cruise. I'd like to have a valid argument as to why we should stick with August, other than the cabin preference! lol Would it be fair to say there will be less children on the August cruise as parents are in back-to-school mode or are there not a lot of kids on Celebrity or Alaska cruises to start with??? Thanks!

Thanks! You'll have a chance of better weather in July than August. The number of children varies by cruise not by the month. In Canada my schools start after the labor day week end. You could get a lot of kids anytime from June to early September.
hopeless holiday booker Posted January 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2017 We went last year in early August. It was the best trip we have ever done. We had glorious weather but had to prepare for anything. There were more children than I expected but late July and August are the UK children's holidays so I don't think you can use children! A cabin that you like though, because it has something extra, for me is worth it every time. Good luck
