Bayonne to Newark airport

We are arriving in Newark for a cruise at the end of April. We will need to get to the Newark airport from Bayonne on a Saturday. The non-stop flight that we would like to take is at 11:20 a.m. The ship is supposed to dock at 7:00 a.m. If we do self-assist is it possible to make this flight?

Barring any docking and clearance delays, it's doable.

Self disembarkation is a must. You should also consider having a car service waiting for you.

Anything can happen on a disembarkation, but I've never had a problem with self disembarkation at Cape Liberty. IMO the main risk is a late arrival which is unusual (but not unheard of) at CL. I've also experienced Galveston and was not impressed - our shuttle group was front and center to hustle off the ship and we were OK, but the luggage reclaim process there was horrible.

 

Overall the secret is to do what's necessary to get yourself off the ship promptly.

Beware of traffic delays. It is not far to the airport but can take a LONG time if traffic is heavy. There is also construction but that looks better than when we were there. More lanes open so hopefully not as backed up.

We are looking at a 1:20PM flight.... We don't want to do the self disembarkation - do you think 1:20PM is pushing it after a Transatlantic?
