Hey guys, we are a large family of 7 and will be leaving on the carnival magic

march 4th for 7 days of fun, However i am finding it difficult to navigate

through the barrage of claims and false promises of only booking sites

to secure a good deal on a 2 night stay and cruise shuttle for my family and I.

Any veteran port canaveral cruisers have a preferred place to stay a night or 2 before your cruise where the shuttle actually picks you up at the hotel and gets you to the ship in a timely manor?

On the beach would be nice but not a must if it saves us a hundred bucks.

Some research on the Florida Departures board, here:

will get you a lot of info.

Port Canaveral is not really close to a lot, and there are dozens of hotels in the Orlando area. I will be there just after you, and found hotel rates quite reasonable in Orlando.

We are staying at the doubletree cocoa beach but the Hilton looked nice too but required a two night stay and we only stay one. They have a shuttle company that you sign up for when you arrive and it's $8 per person to get to the port.

I found the hotels in Orlando to be a lot cheaper then the ones by the port. We're going on rccl in July and staying at the residence inn by mco. They have a residence inn and Raddison, which are really popular. Theres another one I can't think of the name. They were a little pricey to me for one night. I would imagine it would be high around your time frame possibly. We're using cortrans for our shuttle and they pick you up from your hotel and can drop you back the hotel or airport. That was 40$ round trip.Hope this helps!
