Justcrusin Posted November 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2005 We are taking our first Princess cruise on the CB in December. We have had experience with Royal Caribbean and Carnival occassionaly having upgrades available for a price at the port. Does Princess ever have these upgrades? spongerob Posted November 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2005 If Princess does, they are extremely rare. Usually, Princess will upgrade passengers into unsold premium cabins a week or two before the cruise, and try to sell less expensive cabins at the last minute. Sometimes, they just put a fake name tag on the door and leave the cabin empty. There will ALWAYS be a sign at the Guest Services desk stating that the ship is full and no cabins are available. Rare Coral Posted November 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2005 Princess doesn't do this. They give the good cabins out complimentary a few days before sailing.

Pam in CA Posted November 11, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2005 You may be given an upgrade but you can't purchase an upgrade at the port.
