Pearl/Haven review

Just off the Pearl and figured I'd write some thoughts down.

Boarding-so many ships in port so we had a very long embarkation. Because we were Haven guests they brought snacks out for us while we were waiting. A little awkward as there is no separate area like in NY for the Breakaway.

We were escorted on first and brought into Moderno first where we met the concierge. She was wonderful and throughout the cruise also. We then were lead to Cagneys for lunch and our rooms were already ready.

We had courtyard suite 14010 and boy was this room wonderful. Plenty of space and a bathroom that was huge. Even had a TV in it!! Our stateroom attendant and butler Caesar were both wonderful.

The courtyard itself was heaven. Jon Jon-the valet was so kind and attentive. So peaceful and quiet. He was there to get you food, snacks and drinks.

Food is subjective but we really enjoyed both main dining rooms. Adan the waiter in Indigo was fantastic. La Cucina was-eh. Teppenyaki [sp?]-always great-except for desert. Did not care for the green cake and ice cream!! lol Buffet-good choices and always had something to your liking.

The bartender at Moderno was my go to guy all week!! :D He opened at 5:00 and he was my first stop as it is the closest bar to the Haven.

The show Uptown-the only one we went to see is a not to miss. Really enjoyed it.

Getting off the ship was fast and easy. So nice that Cagneys served a full cooked to order suite breakfast even on the last day. We had a late flight so it was nice to enjoy that relaxing last breakfast.

I was not sure I would like the smaller ship after sailing on the Breakaway but the Pearl was wonderful. Since it was just a 5 nighter and I chose this sailing because it went to Key West and it sure did not disappoint. I do like the Havens that have the restaurant and bar but would still enjoy the smaller ships as well.

Great time had on the Pearl. NCL really does it right in our book!!

Caesar was my butler on the Star this past May. such a nice man!

He sure is. Did his job so well and was so nice. We only asked for one thing which was keep us stocked with milk and chocolate milk and that he did. Every time we came back to the room we kept saying 'what did Caesar leave us now':D It was always a pleasant surprise.
