I think it is usually 5 to 6 hours, but I may be wrong. It's been a long time since I took that particular flight.

Yeah.. It's about 5 hours or so. Did it back in May 2003 for my cruise on the NCL Norwegian Star.

 

Here is some info on an American Airlines flight from LAX to HNL. Looks to be just over 5 hours flight time (wheels up to wheels down)

On current (northern winter) schedules, all LAX-HNL flights are scheduled at between 5:30 and 6:00. All HNL-LAX flights are between 5:00 and 5:30.

 

You have to remember that these are scheduled gate-to-gate times, which build in a little time for taxiing, holding and minor delays.
