Guy's Burgers on Carnival Liberty's January 22, 2017 Sailing

I like to try "new" things. Thus, I was looking forward to having a burger and fries from this venue. Wow, was I disappointed!

 

The fries, particularly, were poor. Limp, overcooked, nearly tasteless. Dipping them in ketchup did not help.

 

The burger was no more than satisfactory. McDonald's, as well as a local restaurant chain Frisch's Big Boy, provides a better product.

 

Did I do something wrong with my order? If so, what should I have done?

 

I did not return for another visit. On a 4 day cruise, there is only so much time to patronize the variety of dining venues available.

I don't see how you could mess up the order since everyone pretty much gets the same thing. You just didn't like it. No biggie. I eat 2-3 a day when I cruise. I wish I didn't like them.

I didn't like Guy's either. The burger was way too charred for my taste and the fries, though crisp were way too salty.

Totally agree and the grease will kill you. They are the most over rated burgers in the world. Mc D are way better.

I can kind of see not liking the fries (they tend to be way overseasoned), but saying the burgers are inferior to McDonald's??? I know it's just your opinion, but :eek:

Not seeing the comparison to MacD as the burgers are twice as big and thick. Perhaps you don't really like a thicker burger with some grill crust? It's really just a preference thing - my hubby and I enjoy them - and the fixins bar - but they are very filling!

Wow, you are a Guys lover. I usually have at least one a cruise. There are so many other choices on the ship, I usually don't eat the same thing twice.
