If you travel a few times a year MedJet assist is a great bargain. Especially, if you are traveling to places where you don't want to experience the local medical care. They will fly you to the hospital of your choice.

While I have purchased a membership with them for several years and thankfully have not needed to use it, you need to understand that MedJet Assist does NOT cover illness nor evacuation from a CRUISE SHIP. ONLY a true land based hospital. A cruise ship is at best an emergency room, NOT a hospital.

So, you would need to be transferred to a land based hospital if ill and only then can you use the Medjet Assist transportation to return you back to home.

It is NOT a be all to end all type of coverage and should NOT be considered as a travel insurance policy for a cruise.

Read the limitations of their services carefully before you buy.

Yes, they are extremely good and deliver on transporting you back home from anywhere in the world where you are an INPATIENT in a hospital, even an ICU.

Cruise ships are not covered in their policy.

Good point! Thanks for the clarification.
