Hi Mel71,

I was on Jade last month, and I have a copy of the gym schedule here, but it hasn't been letting me upload the pages, b/c of a "missing security token". I'll keep trying, and eventually it will hopefully let me post them for you.

On our cruise, there were "stretch" classes every day, twice/day--at 7am and 5pm. These are free, and quite good, and are fine for beginners. The instructors will be the same as for the "pay" yoga classes ($12 each class), so you could go to the free classes first + see what you think. As for the yoga classes--they were every sea day at 8am (7:30am was an abs workout class). The main difference between stretch and yoga--in the yoga class, they do "official" positions. So, you'll want to do some of these if you're wanting to learn names/positions. The free stretch classes incorporate some yoga moves, but they don't focus on specific positions as such.

You'll get a lot out of the free classes, and then you also may want to do paid yoga some days, too.

I'm an avid spinner, had been taking classes for years and now I have my own bike and a on demand class service. I signed up for the cycle classes on my first day (were on the Jade in Jan) and was sorely disappointed. The bikes were terrible and the instructor didn't lead the class in any way I've ever seen before. We found out from him later that he has personal training and gym experience and signed up with NCL as a gym instructor. However, they assigned him to spinning instructor when he had never taken or taught a spinning class. Not telling you not to try the Yoga, but don't go into it with high expectations. I also saw very few people in the yoga class so if you take more than one it's entirely possible that it could end up being just you and the instructor there.

Hi Melanie,

I'll email you the gym info tomorrow. My email will be the one that starts out "treehugger".

I do also have all of the dailies. Did you want me to email those too? Do you want all of the pages (4 each day X 10 days), or just specific pages?

Is RJ Red a solo player? Was he playing at night in the atrium on your cruise, or?

@sanger727

thank you fot your infirmation

I will take a look for the classes and the Yogi ;-)

maybe he/she will be better than your spinning instructor

@Vicky,

thank you so much!!!

only sportsprogram and shows/entertainment in the evening would be perfect!

yes RJ plays solo in the atrium

we saw him 3 times in the Jade and we love his voice!

Hi Mel,

I'll get those dailies together for you now.

RJ Red was not playing in the atrium. It was Jim Capik, but he is really great, too--NCL has some talented musicians! He also plays guitar + sings, and also plays harmonica. If he's still on for your cruise in spring, you may like to hear him :)

Hi

yes

NCL has many great musicians and I know I will like to hear it each of them

I love guitar and piano music. And if someone is good in playing harmonica... perfect :-)

thanks again for your help
