We are leaving for a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Dream on April 30, 2017. This is my boyfriends first cruise as well as his birthday week. Our port stops are Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Cayman; and Cozumel. Are there any excursions that you would suggest for us? Are there any special on board activities that we should try?

What kind of things do you like to do?

Grand Cayman; look for the website for Nativeway Watersports. They offer a Rays, Reef and Rum tour that is awesome. You can reserve your space, but you pay is US Cash when you are on the boat. If Thomas is your captain, you'll be in good hands. The first part of the excursion is out to where the stingrays are. They take a much smaller group than the large tour boats, so you get far more attention. The crew was wonderful. They will also take a lot of great photos if you're interested in buying any of them. They will transfer them to a CD. After the stingrays, you'll go snorkeling near a reef. They provide all of the gear. After that, they will pass around a menu for everyone to choose their lunch. Upon arrival at Rum Pointe Beach, you will be served your lunch. Keep one hand on top of your food at all times. There are some giant black birds that will try to dive bomb your sandwich and knock the bread to the ground for them to eat. After lunch you will have about 90 minute to relax on the beach or sit in the shallow water. After that, it's back to their dock. Our group of 6 absolutely loved this tour.

Cozumel: Lots of great shopping at Porta Maya where you will most likely be docked. There are many beaches that you can go to. Search through the Cozumel port board to get recommendations.

Montego Bay: We took a cab to Margaritaville for a while. Wear your suits under your clothes. You can sit on the patio and enjoy many frosty adult beverages, or go down the slide into the water. This was fun for a while.

We are doing the same cruise in July. We have never been to these ports, but we have decided to get ourselves to the beach on Cayman and Cozumel and have relaxing days. We haven't decided for sure, but are thinking about Paradise Beach on Cozumel and Royal Palm or Calico Jacks on Cayman.

We booked the Bobsled Jamaica & Dunns River Falls with lunch for our Jamaica day. We were a bit uncomfortable planning our own thing and feel better booking through Carnival. The bus ride is 1 1/2 hours each way, with the possibility of traffic or bus trouble, I liked that the ship will wait for us incase of delay. I know that we can find something similar for less money, but it is worth the peace of mind for us to pay a little extra and book through Carnival.

We typically go off on our own and make sure we have plenty of time to get back. If ship leaves say 6 we want to be back at 4 30.

Montego Bay we did a very nice beach next to Margaritaville, Dr Cable or something llke that.

7 mile beach in Grand Cayman is nice beach and easy taxi or bus ride from ship.

I am on the cruise after you on the Dream. As a previous poster stated, it all depends on what you like. We will do the chair lift and zip line in Jamaica, scuba diving in Grand Cayman and the deluxe sail and snorkel day in Cozumel.

The boat is also rife with options, if you like a quiet piano bar, a raucous deck party, a secluded serenity deck, a game of bingo, trivia, the casino or just watching the ocean. My problem on the boat is trying to do it all.

For on board activities I recommend you stay away from the spa...
