anybody have up to date information on outdoor smoking areas on Jade, in particular which side of the promenade deck is used. Many thanks

Port side. They have chairs + loungers set up in the midship area of the promenade deck for smokers.

Considering that there are nearly 30,000 guests a week (soon to be adding another 8,000),,,, 1.6M a year, sending an emailing asking about where you can smoke is not going to get a fast response. Wait until you get onboard.

 

Actually, Best not to smoke. Avoids violating no smoking areas

Most ships allow smoking on the port side of the promenade and pool decks and some also have a smoking lounge. But even as a smoker I can't stand the amount of smoke in the lounge or the way I smell after being in there. It's also allowed in the casino. Technically only while gaming, but that didn't seem to be enforced on Dawn last week.

Thanks for comments. Was trying to book a balcony cabin that wasn't directly over the smoking portion of the promenade! Would be useful if all cruise lines would publish this information on their websites, some do, some don't.

Your on your own with that one. I would rather do it on the balcony when the folks that get annoyed are sleeping in Florida that is around 10:30 due to age of residence which tend to match the ship;)

We were on the Jade in a cabin that turned out to be directly above the smoking area, and we had a smell of smoke in our room. That said, I'm not sure it came from the smoking area below, because I smelled smoke elsewhere on the ship.
