Princess Visa Question

I've booked cruises directly with Princess and with a travel agent (on-line). Whenever I used the travel agency, I never received double points for paying for the cruise. (probably because the posting on the bill is for the travel agency, not Princess). I let it go since I did receive from extra on-board credit by using the agent, but now that I'm planning my next cruise, I was wondering: has anyone been in the same situation and it so, were you able somehow to get the double points?

I always book through a travel agent and my credit card posting is always to Princess Cruises. If your agent doesn't do this, you could be in danger as the travel agent has your funds and then forwards them to Princess. If the agent goes out of business before your funds are forwarded, while your funds are protected by the card issuer, if they don't get to Princess in time, you could lose your reservation. This happened to us once and only once - lesson learned!
