FunforGin Posted February 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Hi there, I really enjoy a good Shiraz but no longer drink alcohol, does Princess Cruise Lines stock alcohol-free wines onboard for purchase? Would love to know, as enjoying a nice wine with dinner would still be nice to do, if I can:)
jennybenny Posted February 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2017 I've never noticed alcohol free wine (or beer for that matter) You can bring one bottle of wine per adult without a corkage fee, and then any extras with a fee. Micahs Grandad Posted February 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Didnt know there was such a thing. Any similarity of taste?
FunforGin Posted February 12, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Yes its acceptably nice - and some brands are better than others I guess, but what I would say is that it doesn't quite have the depth of taste that a regular wine has. But if you don't want to drink alcohol but enjoy the flavour of wine, its pretty close INHO:)
Colo Cruiser Posted February 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Have not seen this on Princess.
arb18 Posted February 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2017 You may be able to bring one more than one per guest since it is non alcoholic...you can bring on as many sodas etc that you want why not non alcohol Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
SLOduck Posted February 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Yes, Princess DOES have non-alcoholic wines onboard! We also no longer drink alcohol, but DO enjoy wine with dinner at times. It is only available in the dining room and not as wine by the glass. Both Chardonnay and a red wine (not sure if it's a cab or Merlot, but I don't like the non-alcoholic reds - too 'grape juicy' for me). Hope that helps! SLOduck Posted February 14, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2017 Yes, we were on the Grand in September - It's Ariel wine (there is also Fre, it's not on Princess but you can find it at your local grocery store and bring it onboard - Fre also has a blush version too) When you're in the dining room looking at the wine list, the non-alcoholic wines are listed last (of course) and it DOES take some doing sometimes because the sommelier and waiter are simply not used to having that request, but be persistent! Glad this information is helpful.

montgomeryfamily Posted February 16, 2017 #13 Share Posted February 16, 2017 Some of the Princess ships have Fre also. But we prefer the Ariel. (Ariel also comes in blush, but it may not be onboard). While non-alcoholic wine is available in the dining room, we have also exchanged nonalcoholic wine we received as gifts for non-alcoholic wine. through room service or the front desk.
