Regal Princess 15 day Pananma Canal

Has anyone done the LA to Florida trip. I would like to take next Jan. but concerned that the ship is small and older.Any comments?

Hi; we are booked on the Jan. 15 day Panama Canal cruise on the Regal - Fla to LA. Our first time on Princess and really looking forward to it. The Regal is small but our last cruise was on the Celebrity Zenith also small but it was fun - just very little night life. The cruise itself was fabulous.

We have sailed on the Regal. It is a wonderful ship. The cabins are bigger than on the new ships. They have large closets and lots of dresser space. Enjoy your trip.

We were on the Regal for the 15-day Hawaii cruise a month ago. She's a great ship. I really loved her. She's going into drydock in November so many things will be refreshed by the time of your cruise.

 

Like Feyd said, the cabins are spacious and there's a "real" shower! It's almost the size of a tub.

 

We found that on the 15-day cruise, there was plenty to do. One thing to keep in mind is that the longer the cruise, the older the cruisers tend to be. And the older the cruisers, the less likely you'll find an active nightlife. That's a generality.
